Traditional Latin Mass Returns to Pius X High School

Instaurare Omnia in Christo — Restore All Things in Christ

On Friday, January 22, a Missa Cantata (otherwise known as a Sung Mass or High Mass) was offered by Fr. Caleb Hile in the St. Pius X chapel at Pius X high school here in Lincoln, the flagship high school of the diocese.

This is the first Mass of a regular, monthly High Mass now being offered at the high school, tentatively on the first Friday of every month as a devotion to the Most Sacred Heart.

Requested and organized by a group of students, the Mass was adorned with a full ceremonial of altar servers as well as a full schola — the Schola Cantorum Sancti Pii X — as these students have organized a group for each.

As this is a new endeavor for the high school and the students, please pray for the success of this great undertaking.
